HourVibes (entity formation pending) (“HourVibes,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to the HourVibes website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who This Policy Applies To
This Policy applies to all users of the Service, including members who book meetings (“Members”) and members who offer their time and companionship (“Hosts”). Where this Policy refers to “you,” it means any user of the Service.
The Service is intended only for adults aged eighteen (18) or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a person under 18, we will delete it.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
Information you provide directly. When you create an account, build a profile, or use the Service, you may provide your name or display name, email address, phone number, date of birth, photographs, location or city, profile descriptions, preferences, and any other information you choose to share. Hosts may provide additional profile details and availability.
Identity and verification information. To promote safety and trust, we may collect government-issued identification, selfie verification images, or similar information, directly or through a third-party verification provider. We use this information to confirm identity and eligibility and do not display it publicly.
Payment information. When you make or receive payments through the Service, payment-card and bank-account details are collected and processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store full payment-card numbers on our own systems. We may retain limited transaction records, such as amounts, dates, and the last four digits of a card.
Communications. We collect the content of messages exchanged through the Service, as well as communications you send to our support team. In-app messages may be stored and reviewed for safety, dispute resolution, and policy enforcement.
Usage and device information. We automatically collect information about how you access and use the Service, including your IP address, device type, browser, operating system, pages viewed, actions taken, and timestamps. We collect this information using cookies and similar technologies (see Section 7).
Location information. With your permission, or based on your IP address and the city you provide, we collect location information to show relevant profiles and meeting locations.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- create, operate, and maintain your account and the Service;
- facilitate connections, bookings, scheduling, and meetings between Members and Hosts;
- process payments, refunds, and payouts;
- verify identity and eligibility, and promote the safety and integrity of the Service;
- monitor for, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, prohibited conduct, and violations of our Terms of Service;
- respond to your questions, provide customer support, and resolve disputes;
- send you transactional messages (such as booking confirmations, security alerts, and account notices);
- send you marketing or promotional communications, where permitted, which you may opt out of at any time;
- analyze usage to improve and develop the Service;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
We may use information to protect the rights, property, and safety of HourVibes, our users, and the public, including cooperating with law enforcement where appropriate.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as described below:
With other users. Your profile information, photographs, display name, and certain activity are visible to other users as necessary to operate the Service. Do not include sensitive information in your public profile that you do not want others to see. We do not share your contact details (such as your email address) with other users unless you choose to provide them.
With service providers. We share information with third parties that perform services on our behalf, such as payment processing, identity verification, hosting, analytics, customer support, and communications. These providers are permitted to use your information only to perform services for us.
For legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; to enforce our Terms of Service; to detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or safety issues; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of HourVibes, our users, or others.
In a business transfer. If HourVibes is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
With your consent. We may share information for any other purpose with your consent.
5. Payments
Payments made through the Service are processed by one or more third-party payment processors. When you provide payment information, it is collected and handled by the processor in accordance with its own terms and privacy policy. We receive limited information from the processor, such as confirmation of payment, transaction amounts and dates, and partial card details, which we use to operate the Service, process refunds, prevent fraud, and maintain records. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party payment processors.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. We may retain certain information after your account is closed where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our agreements, or maintain transaction and safety records. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate and secure the Service, remember your preferences, understand how the Service is used, and improve your experience. You can control cookies through your browser settings. If you disable certain cookies, some features of the Service may not function properly. Where required by law, we will request your consent before placing non-essential cookies.
8. Your Choices and Rights
You can review and update much of your account information at any time through your account settings. You may also:
- Opt out of marketing. You can unsubscribe from promotional emails using the link in those emails or by contacting us. We may still send you transactional or service-related messages.
- Control location and notifications. You can adjust permissions through your device or browser settings.
- Close your account. You may request that we close your account and delete your information, subject to the retention exceptions described in Section 6.

9. California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (the “CCPA”), gives you the following rights regarding your personal information:
- the right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and the purposes for doing so;
- the right to request access to the specific pieces of personal information we hold about you;
- the right to request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions;
- the right to correct inaccurate personal information;
- the right to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information; and
- the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights.
We do not sell your personal information for money. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@hourvibes.com. We will verify your request before responding and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.
10. Privacy Rights for Users Outside the United States
The Service is operated from the United States, and your information will be processed and stored in the United States, which may have different data-protection laws than your country of residence. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer and processing.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region with data-protection laws such as the GDPR, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@hourvibes.com. We rely on lawful bases for processing, including your consent, the performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, and compliance with legal obligations.
11. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for notifying us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
12. Communications from Us
By creating an account, you agree that we may contact you by email, SMS, push notification, or other means for transactional and service-related purposes, such as confirmations, security alerts, and policy updates. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time, but you may continue to receive non-promotional, service-related messages.
13. Third-Party Links and Services
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that we do not operate or control. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.
14. Children's Privacy
The Service is strictly for adults aged eighteen (18) and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has provided us with information, please contact us at support@hourvibes.com so we can remove it.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after an updated Policy is posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
